Newington Parks And Grounds Division Seeking Seasonal Help

The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting Seasonal Park staff for summer
employment. All applicants should be at least 18 years of age with a valid Connecticut driver’s
license. They will be required to perform a variety of tasks which may include the use of hand
tools, power equipment such as string trimmers, leaf blowers, and mowers, as well as litter pick
up and assistance in athletic field maintenance. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m. The starting pay rate is $14.25 per hour.

The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is also recruiting for Part-Time
Groundskeepers to work 19 hours per week as a Cemetery Worker or Gardener. This position
works Monday through Friday with flexible hours. The starting pay rate is $14.25 per hour.
