Newington Parks & Recreation Seeks Part-Time Athletic Organizers
Help is needed for several sports at the Mortensen Community Center.

The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is actively recruiting recreation leaders, physical education teachers, athletes, organizers and/or any combination of those traits to work part time for the Department.

“We are interested in interviewing people that want to help us administer pickleball, badminton, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, kickball, miniature golf, and chess/checkers tournaments at the brand new Mortensen Community Center,” said Bill DeMaio, Superintendent of Newington Parks and Recreation. “We want to utilize this gorgeous multipurpose facility to the maximum. We want energetic, well organized leaders to help us administer successful revenue raising tournaments for the town.”
The hourly pay may also include incentive bonuses for those programs that generate major revenues. We will evaluate each tournament as it pertains to the Town’s positive economic impact.

The Department will be accepting applications and resumes at the Parks and Recreation Office.
