Newington Restaurant Installs ‘Private Domes’ For Customers
The restaurant has taken a unique approach to social distancing by installing "private domes" for customers as outside dining reopens in CT.
NEWINGTON, CT — A Newington restaurant has taken a unique approach to social distancing by installing “private domes” for customers as the state begins reopening to outside dining. The owners of Mykonos Mediterranean, located at 2414 Berlin Turnpike, said they installed the domes on their patio in an effort to make their customers feel as comfortable as possible.
“During these challenging times adjusting to this new ‘normal’ we went a step further to make our customers feel as much comfortable as we can, with our private domes on our patio that include lighting and climate control,” the owners wrote in a post on Facebook. “We wish everyone health and to see everyone soon.”
Fans of the restaurant showed their approval of the effort with more than 280 “Likes” on the Facebook post. One person wrote in the comments, “Great idea and thank you for investing in our health and well being.”
