Jude Anthony “Judd” White, of Newington, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2018 with nieces and nephews at his side. Jude was born in Hartford on October 8, 1939, son of the late Thomas and Marion (Phenix) White who affectionately called him Butch. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving with Co A 1st MTB 67th Armor of the famous 2nd Armored Division “Hell On Wheels”. By trade, an elevator mechanic and member of IUEC Local 91 Elevator Constructors. Towards the end of his career, he was the owner and operator of Globe Elevator Company. Butch was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved animals, the outdoors, old movies, and Elvis. Butch is survived by his siblings, Margaret Downey (Joe), Claudia Schuberth (Bob), Thomas White (Judy), Christine Odiorne, and Norma Phelps (John) and his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Michele (Sis) and her husband Peter Kalousdian. We will miss your humor, visits, your telephone calls, and especially the voicemail messages. We love you Butch. Butch's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 8:30am to 10:00am at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
