Obit: Martha Jurczyk, 91, Of Newington

Martha (Martinez) Jurczyk, 91, of Newington, beloved wife of Casimir Jurczyk, died on Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was employed as a teacher for the West Hartford Board of Education for many years. She was a very active parishioner of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, New Britain and enjoyed teaching Sunday School there. In her leisure time, Martha enjoyed reading, golfing, swimming and watching the UConn Women’s basketball games. She was a sweet and caring woman who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to Casimir, her husband of 65 years, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, New Britain (section 14). The Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington are in care of arrangements.
