At 7:55 a.m. Hawaii time, a Japanese dive bomber bearing the red symbol of the Rising Sun of Japan on its wings appears out of the clouds above the island of Oahu. A swarm of 360 Japanese warplanes followed, descending on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in a ferocious assault. The surprise attack struck a critical blow against the U.S. Pacific fleet and drew the United States irrevocably into World War II.

Below Is An Explanation Of Pearl Harbor Day:
Bristol's Ed Riccio’s died at his home Wednesday November 23rd 2016, just 24 hours before family members would have gathered for Thanksgiving Day. Riccio was known for being Bristol’s last living survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor. He came home from war with the memories of that day, memories that wouldn't fade in his lifetime.
One of his memories of that day was hearing an explosion from the area of his barracks. He ran back to find that it had been bombed, leaving 56 of his fellow soldiers dead. Riccio and two others were the only survivors from the barracks which housed 60 soldiers. "I was so mad. I was so upset," said Riccio, a few days before his death. Learn More About Ed:
