NEWINGTON, CT — Spring sports practice is in full swing, scrimmage games have begun and the regular season is just around the corner for Newington High School squads. Here are the scheduled dates, times and opponents for each team's regular season opening contest.

• boys lacrosse - 3/31 at Bristol Central, noon
• girls lacrosse - 3/31 vs. Canton, 1 p.m.
• baseball - 4/2 at Rocky Hill, 3:45 p.m.
• girls tennis - 4/2 vs. Berlin, 3:45 p.m.
• softball - 4/2 vs. Rocky Hill, 4 p.m.
• boys volleyball - 4/2 at Simsbury, 6 p.m.
• boys golf - 4/3 at Hall, 3 p.m.
• track and field - 4/3 at Bulkeley, 3:45 p.m.
• girls golf - 4/5 vs. Wethersfield, 3 p.m.
• boys tennis - 4/5 vs. South Windsor, 3:45 p.m.
