From the angel Gabriel to representations of Faith, Hope and Memory, Foundation Director Beverly Lucas will acquaint you with the figural monuments in the historic cemetery. Sam & Elizabeth’s World – The Colts at Cedar Hill Saturday, July 22, 10:00 am. Admission: $5.00; Members: Free
Elizabeth Colt erected the first major monument at Cedar Hill, one of her many efforts to commemorate her husband Samuel’s legacy in Connecticut’s capital city. Beverly Lucas will introduce you to Colt family members now residing at Cedar Hill as well as friends and associates of this influential couple. The tour will begin at the Colt Monument on Section 2 – follow the signs once you enter the cemetery.
