NEW MILFORD, CT — A black bear was spotted eating out of a bird feeder at a home on Perry Drive in New Milford on Tuesday morning, reports the News-Times.
The homeowner, Simon Melzer, is no stranger to seeing the animal on his property, having spotted one last summer also eating from a bird feeder.
Following Tuesday's sighting, Melzer notified the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, which says New Milford had more than 240 black bear sightings last year.
