Woman Killed in New Milford Dump Truck Crash Identified: UPDATE

NEW MILFORD, CT — Police have identified the woman who was killed when her car collided with a dump truck near the intersection of Kent and Cedar Hill roads on Tuesday.

Christina Walters, 24, of Kent, died in the crash, which occurred around 9 a.m.

Firefighters worked to remove the Walters from her car after the crash, but were unable to do so before she succumbed to her injuries, said Lt. Lawrence Ash of the New Milford police.

The driver of the dump truck, which left the road and ended up in the Housatonic after the collision, was transported to Danbury Hospital shortly after 9:30 a.m.
