Freeze Warning Issued: Sub-Freezing Temps Expected

The Southern New Milford area could be impacted by a Freeze Warning which was issued for the Brookfield area.

NEW MILFORD, CT — The rain may be going but the wind chill is coming. A Freeze Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Fairfield County until overnight Tuesday through 8 a.m. Wednesday which could impact parts of Southern New Milford.

Temperatures in the 20s to lower 30s are expected and will kill sensitive plants and sensitive vegetation if not covered or brought indoors.

Here is a detailed forecast from the National Weather Service:

  • Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. North wind 6 to 10 mph.
  • Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 54. Wind chill values between 25 and 35 early. North wind 6 to 10 mph.
  • Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight.
  • Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 58. Wind chill values between 25 and 35 early. North wind 7 to 9 mph.
  • Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 31. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Friday: Sunny, with a high near 59.
  • Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 37.
  • Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 63.
  • Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 40.
  • Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 70.
  • Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 44.
