Goodwill of Western and Northern CT - New Milford Store Now Open

Retail store reopens after COVID-19 closure with extensive precautionary measures in place

New Milford, Conn. (June 2, 2020) – Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut (GWNC) today announced that its New Milford retail store, located at 115 Danbury Road, New Milford, CT 06776 has reopened. The New Milford store is currently open from 9a.m.-7p.m. daily for shopping and to accept donations.

All GWNC retail locations are asking customers to assess their own health before entering and wear masks when they are shopping. Store capacity has been reduced and fitting rooms will remain closed at this time. Sneeze guards have been installed at all checkouts and carts/shopping baskets will be disinfected after each use. Customers are also being asked to keep a distance of 6-feet between themselves and other shoppers and staff, and to follow directional signage placed on the sales floor. Touchless checkout will also be provided through credit card chip scanning, Android and Apple payment options. In addition, all staff will be required to perform a health screening before every shift. Lastly, contactless drop off remains in place at all donation sites and donated goods will continue to be quarantined for at least 24-hours in accordance with CDC guidelines.

For customers who are not comfortable entering a retail store at this time but would like to support GWNC’s mission, Shop Goodwill, the nonprofit’s ecommerce platform, is also open.
