Happy Mother’s Day From Gerolynn Laukevicz

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Gerolynn Laukevicz's letter to her mom:

The reason I have the best mom is because she has always put everyone before herself. My mother is a very loving, compassionate and wonderful woman.

She has been a registered nurse for over 50 years. She cared for many many patients, she's developed relationships with them and would do anything at all to help them. She worked very hard during her entire career to be the caregiver she is today.

She has always taken great pride in everything — not only in her career but also in her home and family life. She has taught me old-school values that I am always going to be some grateful for. She is my best friend, and I don't know what I would do without her. She's always been there when I've needed her and never hesitated to do anything. She has given us her unconditional love and compassion always and cares for people deeply. She has been a great inspiration to us and many others.

I could go on and on because there are just so many wonderful things about my mother, but to keep going would take away from the true feeling I'm trying to convey. She is wonderful, she is beautiful inside and out and she's my mom. I love her.
