Harrybrooke Park Seeks Volunteers for Cleanup and Earth Day Celebration

A park cleanup is planned for April 8 at Harrybrooke Park in New Milford.

NEW MILFORD, CT-- Join residents, friends and neighbors on Saturday, April 8 from 9 - 1 p.m. to help clean up Harrybrooke Park in New Milford.

Located at 100 Still River Road, the park has been deteriorating, according to their Facebook page, and volunteers are needed to help clean it up on Saturday.

On April 22, Earth Day, another cleanup day is planned:

"The North Running Still River is doing a number on the property as some of the land is collapsing into the water in the south end of the property. We will be transplanting bushes with root growth to strengthen the edge of the river. Please feel free to just stop by, or let us know here, if you can help with this useful and natural project as we celebrate Earth Day!"
