Memorial Service Scheduled for New Milford Teen
DaSilva was a student at Abbott Technical High School in Danbury who loved to play video games and basketball.
NEW MILFORD, CT — There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering for Joshua DaSilva, the New Milford teen who died in Candlewood Lake last Monday.
Friends and family will gather at Faith Church, located at 600 Danbury Road #1 in New Milford, on Monday, June 3, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow.
DaSilva, 17, went missing while swimming with friends near the Dike Point Recreation Area on Memorial Day. Search and scuba teams from numerous local and state agencies scoured the area until his body was recovered on Wednesday. The official cause of death is still pending the report from the state medical examiner.
