New Milford Announces New Economic Development Director
Previously, she worked in development for the city of Rochester, NH.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Mayor Pete Bass named the new economic director at the Town Council meeting on Monday.
Karen Pollard will assume the post on Friday, March 29.
In her fifteen year tenure with the city of Rochester, NH, Pollard built the economic development offices from the ground up, brought over 1,000 jobs to her community and averaged $50 million in grand list growth in the last five years, according to a release from the Mayor's Office.

Pollard was also involved in the expansion of the Granite State Business Park and the arrival of Albany International’s Safran Aerospace Composites manufacturing facility.
"We have been deliberate about our search for an Economic Development Director; Karen’s experience and connections in the region as well as throughout the U.S. will help New Milford achieve our goals and objectives for economic development," Bass said.

"I'm impressed by New Milford’s potential for business growth and excited to take on the challenges," Pollard said in a release. "By working together with dedicated leadership, we can shine a light on the town's numerous assets and attract new businesses and jobs. New Milford has a lot to work with and a great foundation to support a robust economic development program."
The town worked with Logan Development Group, a professional recruiting firm, to find Pollard.
