New Milford Considers Converting School to Affordable Housing
One plan that was floated would see 75 units built, with 80 percent of them classified as affordable.

NEW MILFORD, CT — The Town Council is looking into converting the current home of the schools’ central offices at 50 East Street into affordable housing.
At the Town Council meeting Monday night, representatives from interested developer Dakota Partners outlined a plan that would build 75 units, 80 percent of which would be classified as affordable.
The council gave Mayor Pete Bass the green light to pursue the project. Any sale would be have to be voted on by the school board, finance board, town council and residents.
