New Milford Director of Public Works Resigns
Mike Zarba has resigned effective Oct. 18 to pursue other opportunities, according to the Mayor's Office.
NEW MILFORD, CT — New Milford Department of Public Works Director Mike Zarba has resigned effective Oct. 18 to pursue other opportunities and will be relocating out of state, the Mayor's Office announced Wednesday.
"We wish Mike the best and thank him for his years of service," Mayor Pete Bass said in a release.
Effective with Mike Zarba’s resignation, Assistant Director of Public Works Jack Healy will become the acting director.

Healy was hired in June 2019. Most recently he served as the director of public works/town manager for the Town of Berlin. Prior to that, Healy was the director of public works for Litchfield.
"This transition will be seamless to the Public, and I am confident that under Jack’s leadership this Department will be taken to the next level and strive to be the best Public Works department in the nation," Bass said.
