New Milford High School Runners Qualify for State Open

MANCHESTER, CT — New Milford High School will be represented in both races at the State Open cross country championships this Friday at Wickham Park in Manchester.

At the Class L meet Saturday, also at Wickham Park, Eli Nahom was the overall winner, finishing the hilly 3.1 mile course in 16:33 to lead the boys team to victory with 54 points, to 73 for runnerup Pomperaug.

Brooke Morabito placed in the top 10 to qualify as an individual in the girls race.
