New Milford Kicks Off Spring, Dishes Dirt on Gardening

NEW MILFORD, CT --- Author and master gardener Michelle MacKinnon will be joined by local vendors at Litchfield Crossing shopping center in New Milford on Sunday, April 29 for a day of family fun.

MacKinnon will be conducting tours of Litchfield Crossings' exceptional array of plant life at 12:00, 1:00 and 2:30 to showcase and observe the native species of plants on site, in addition to offering flower and plant recommendations for everyday living and gardening.

Honey producers, local farmers including Goatboy, area gardeners and gardening suppliers are all scheduled to participate. A portion of all proceeds from the day will benefit the local Sierra Club, the nation’s largest grassroots environmental organization.

Litchfield Crossings is located at 169 Danbury Rd, New Milford, CT. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
