New Milford Landlords Granted Special Program After Locking Out Tenant: Report

A New Milford couple accused of locking out their tenant after a landlord-tenant dispute has been granted a special probation program.

NEW MILFORD, CT— A New Milford couple has been granted a special program after they were charged with larceny and criminal lockout, according to The News Times. Developer Thomas Pilla and his wife Elaine were allowed to enter a pretrial diversionary program Monday that could be dismissed after two years of good behavior, the report stated.

The couple was charged after they locked out Frank Collida, Elaine’s brother, out of their house, after Thomas Pilla found loaded guns and ammunition in his room, the report stated.
