New Milford Man Indicted On Federal Gun Charges
A New Milford man is facing allegations that he sold a gun that was later used in a homicide, according to federal prosecutors.
NEW MILFORD, CT — A New Milford man has been indicted on federal gun charges, according to a statement from prosecutors. Nikos Chelioudakis, 34, if facing one count of possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and one count of unlawful sale or transfer of a firearm to a prohibited person.
He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
According to the indictment, in August 2019, Chelioudakis sold a Walther Model P22, .22-caliber handgun with an obliterated serial number to an individual, who is identified in the indictment as “D.R.”

According to statements made in court, shortly after Chelioudakis sold the handgun to D.R., it is alleged that D.R. used the handgun in homicide.
