NEW MILFORD, CT — A New Milford nurse was honored on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Friday night and received a surprise visit from Adam Levine, along with $10,000. Samantha Brown, a wellness nurse at Maplewood in Newtown, appeared on the show’s #HealthCareHero segment. During the quarantine, Kimmel is honoring those who are on the front line of the coronavirus crisis.
“We’re a big family,” Brown told Kimmel about the community at Maplewood, an assisted living facility for seniors. She said they have a great team and that helps keep them going through the crisis.
“All my co-workers, superiors, we’re in it together,” she said. “We’ve always had each other’s backs and we really love these residents. These residents are our families.”
