New Milford Nursing Home Fined: Report

NEW MILFORD, CT — Village Crest Center for Health & Rehabilitation has been fined $3,060 for an incident that occurred in 2017 after a resident was injured falling from a wheelchair that a nurse aide was pushing, according to the Connecticut Health Investigative Team.

The nurse aide was not using leg rests as directed by the resident’s care plan when the incident occurred. The resident suffered a forehead laceration that required six sutures at a hospital.
