New Milford Police Arrest Suspected Heroin Dealer
Police arrested a suspected heroin dealer in connection with an overdose death last year.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Police have arrested a suspected heroin dealer in connection with an overdose death last year.
Yusef Rawls of Waterbury was arrested on Sept. 4, 2019, for the role police say he played in the death of James G. Broderick IV on Oct.15, 2018. Rawls was charged with sale of narcotics and first-degree reckless endangerment. His bond was set at $100,000.
Rawls was arrested in Waterbury and brought into the New Milford PD for processing on a New Milford warrant.

"I want to thank the Waterbury Police for their help in arresting this dangerous suspect and I want to commend our Detective Division for their diligent work and tenacity in conducting this extensive investigation," Chief Spencer Cerruto wrote in social media. "Det. Flockhart, the lead investigator, along with Det. Guilbeault, supervised by Detective Sergeant Relyea are all very experienced investigators and they will not stop until all leads are exhausted."
