New Milford Police to Ramp Up Patrols

The police also plan to open a substation on Railroad Street, and initiate marine patrols engaging with residents on Candlewood Lake.

NEW MILFORD, CT — The Police Department has received a $10,000 grant from the state, and will use the money to fund additional patrols.

The increased coverage will commence Memorial Day weekend and run through the summer.
"By utilizing a community policing approach, we want our children and their families to understand that New Milford Police Department is a source for safety information and assistance," NMPD Chief Spencer Cerruto said in a press release.

The police also plan to open a substation on Railroad Street, and initiate marine patrols engaging with residents on Candlewood Lake.
