New Milford Voters Make Their Decision on 2019-20 Budgets

The public referendum was held Tuesday

NEW MILFORD, CT — Voters approved the 2019-20 town and schools budgets, in a public referendum held on Tuesday.

The $39 million town budget is about $21,000 less than the current spending plan. The $64 million Board of Education budget is about $1 million more than the current budget. The combined budget is more than $103 million.

The municipal budget passed 1,655 to 741. Voters were less enthusiastic about the schools budget, approving it 1,505 to 900.
