New Milford Webster Bank Branch To Close

NEW MILFORD, CT — Waterbury-based Webster Bank has announced it will close 27 locations including 16 branches in Connecticut, including the New Milford location, The Hartford Courant reported. The move comes as the bank reports that more customers are choosing mobile and online services, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic struck in March.

The New Milford location is at 169 Danbury Road. The closings are expected to be this spring, but no specific date has been announced. It's unclear how many employees will be affect by the closures, according to The Courant.
