Obituary: Alfred P. Ferris, Jr., 67, of New Milford

Al enjoyed motorcycling, camping and music, but most of all Al loved to fish in his own backyard while observing mother-nature.

NEW MILFORD, CT — On August 1, 2018 Alfred P. Ferris, Jr. (67 years old), a former resident of Stamford and the creator of the Secret Copper Shop has left the building, he has been summoned to work for the master creator in the sky.

He was predeceased by his parents; Margaret (Cambridge) and Alfred P. Ferris, Sr and his loving and devoted wife Rebecca (Ross) Ferris.He is survived by his 3 children, David (Candace), Rebecca and Daniel (Jessica) Ferris; his 2 brothers, Douglas and Joseph Ferris and several grandchildren. Al will be sorely missed by all that had an opportunity to know him, especially by his girlfriend, Sari Max.

After graduating from Stamford Catholic High School, Al served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a long time employee of Petro Oil Company in New Milford, CT, before retiring and becoming a coppersmith and artisan who owned and operated the Secret Copper Shop. His creations were shipped all over the country. Al's special attention to detail is what made his artwork unique.

Friends and family are invited to the Secret Copper Shop on September 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. for a memorial.
