NEW MILFORD, CT — Vera (Vee) Louise Hanning Roberts, 98, of New Milford, passed away December 31, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas John Roberts, Sr. and a son, Thomas John Roberts, Jr. and his wife Nancy. She was the daughter of Theodore and Mary Hanning born on August 11, 1920. She was raised in Washington Depot and attended local schools.
Vee graduated from Larson Junior College (now Quinnipiac University) with a degree in Business Administration. She taught preschool in Boston, MA and Marbledale. Tom and Vee met in Boston after he had returned from WWII. They married and started their family and lived in Pittsford, VT for several years and then in 1955 moved to New Milford, where they raised their three sons. They had wonderful friends and neighbors and great social life. We are sure she had a great New Year's Eve catching up with her family and many friends.
