Pedestrian Struck, Killed, in New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a passing car while crossing Route 7 Thursday night.

John Murphy, 60, was hit by a Chevrolet Cruze driven Kevin Roman, 20, of New Milford, according to police.

The accident occurred about 9:30 p.m. on the southbound side of the road in front of the Citgo gas station.

Police pronounced Murphy dead at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation by the police.
