New Milford Man Accused Of Gas Station Heist

"If these criminals think for one minute that we will not track them down and bring them to justice, they are mistaken," an official said.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Police apprehended a New Milford man accused of robbing a gas station.

On Friday, March 27, shortly before 9 p.m., New Milford police responded to a report of a robbery at Price Cutter gas station on Danbury Road. No one was injured and no weapon was used, police said.

After an investigation, police caught up with Craig Rosenoch, 47, of New Milford, on Wednesday. Officers found him hiding in a closet inside a Willow Springs home, police said. New Milford police collaborated with police from Ridgefield and Danbury to identify Rosenoch.

"I am proud of the excellent work of our first responding Officers and the investigative efforts of our Detectives," New Milford Police Chief Spencer Cerruto posted on social media. "For a suspect to commit a robbery and victimize innocent people is inexcusable. If these criminals think for one minute that we will not track them down and bring them to justice, they are mistaken."

Rosenoch was charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. He was held on $150,000 bail.
