New Milford Man Accused Of Voyeurism: Police

The arrest followed a complaint from a woman that a man had "surreptitiously placed his cell phone under her skirt and took a photo."

NEW MILFORD, CT — Police have charged a New Milford man with voyeurism.

Danbury police were called to the Berkshire Center Walmart on Newtown Road in Danbury on Sunday following a complaint from a woman that a man had "surreptitiously placed his cell phone under her skirt and took a photograph." The woman accused Jesse Atwood, 30, of New Milford, of taking the photo at around 7 p.m. while she was shopping and had her back to him.

The woman reported that when she realized what had happened, she notified store employees and followed Atwood as he was exiting the store. During the course of the responding officer's investigation, he was able to identify Atwood as the suspect and later placed him under arrest.
