Go Green Newtown: More Info on Solar Installation
There are information sessions on going solar in town.
The Newtown Sustainable Energy Commission has launched an initiative to bring more solar power to town residents.
“Two years ago we had the Solarize Newtown program and we doubled the number of residential solar installations in town,” said Kathy Quinn, Chair, Newtown Sustainable Energy Commission. ”The Newtown Energy Challenge will provide a new opportunity to educate, empower and provide more options for people thinking of going solar and that’s a good thing.”
The program will run from October 5, 2015 through December 5, 2015.

Direct Energy Solar and Ross Solar Group are working with the commission to provide a limited time program that offers a streamlined process and savings.
There are workshop seminars Nov 4 and 19, 6:30-8:00 p.m., meeting room at the C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main St.
