Eastern Coach Christine Hutchison is optimistic of the new edition of the women's lacrosse team. New talent is expected to provide a deeper field of goal-scorers than previously, and according to Hutchison, the ability to win draws and ground balls will determine the team's level of success.
The Warriors opened the season with the first of six straight road matches on Feb. 23 at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. They made their home debut on March 19 against SUNY New Paltz and will open their conference season on March 30 at home against the University of Southern Maine.

The Warriors compete in the Little East Conference (LEC), which was established in 1986 as a single-sport league by six public institutions throughout New England. The LEC has since become a multi-sport league with eight primary members, six affiliate members and 19 championships.
