Luisa Breen, director of social services: The Department participated in a seminar "Planning for the Needs of Children in Disastsers (FEMA) 

North Branford Patch: What's something residents need to know?
Breen: The Gatekeepers Program sponsered by St. Lukes Eldercare Services allows people in the community to make an anonymous call when they are concerned about the physical or mental health, living conditions of an individual over the age of 60. A call placed will facilitate a worker to contact the senior by phone and arrange a home visit. A call may be placed to 860-347-5661. All calls are confidential.
