Crash Sent Vehicle Into North Branford Pool Supply Store: Police
A SUV rear-ended a wood chipper being towed by another vehicle. Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Early Monday afternoon, police responded to a crash on Rt. 80 and Foxon Road near swimming pool supply store Imperial Pools, according to police.
North Branford Police Department Deputy Chief James Lovelace said officers and North Branford Fire Department firefighters responded to the area of 155 Foxon Road for a crash with injuries. He said police determined that both vehicles were traveling west on Foxon Road and that a small gray SUV struck the rear of a woodchipper which was being towed by another vehicle. The SUV continued west, off the roadway and struck Imperial Pools causing significant damage to the front of the building, Lovelace said.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries, he said.

The North Branford building official inspected the building and deemed it safe, Lovelace said.
"We are thankful for the quick response from police and fire first responders for all their efforts," he said.
