CT Audubon Society Seeks Volunteers to Monitor Osprey

Volunteers are needed to observe nests throughout the state, including the shoreline communities.

North Branford, CT - The Connecticut Audubon Society is searching for volunteers to observe osprey nests and report the data for inclusion in the 2016 Osprey Nation Map.

Volunteers are needed to monitor about 240 active nests throughout the state, including some in the shoreline communities.

“The amount of time and expertise needed is relatively small but each [volunteer] steward’s contribution to the Osprey Nation effort is enormous, so we ask people throughout the state to consider volunteering,” said Genevieve Nuttall, Osprey Nation coordinator for the Connecticut Audubon Society, in a statement.
