This may come as a shock to most motorists here in the Connecticut, especially if you've seen behavior like this and this: Drivers here are seventh-best in the nation.
That's right.Â
Pulling information from sources such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Motorists Association, a new report from CarInsuranceComparison.comweighs the following factors to come up with one overall score for each of the 50 states plus Washington, DC:
- Fatalities Rate per 100 Million Vehicle Miles Traveled
- Failure to Obey (Traffic Signals + Seat Belts)
- Drunk Driving
- Tickets
- Careless Driving
The worst? Louisiana.Â
