Man Robs North Branford Bank, Flees On Foot With Cash: Police

A man entered the bank and passed a note to a teller saying he had a weapon and demanded money, police said.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A man who said he was carrying a weapon robbed a North Branford bank on Friday afternoon and fled the scene of crime on foot, police said. North Branford police said at 4:03 p.m., officers were dispatched to a bank robbery at Key Bank located at 1715 Foxon Road, North Branford.

Upon police arrival, it was determined that a white middle aged male entered the bank and passed a note to a teller saying he had a weapon and demanded money, police said. No weapon was ever displayed. The suspect fled the bank with cash and headed east on Foxon Road on foot, police said. The suspect was wearing a light colored hooded Columbia jacket, baseball cap, jeans and light colored sneakers, police said.

The North Branford Detective Bureau is currently investigating.
