NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Two long-sought projects recently took a step forward with the allocation of funds to build a new police station and a new or renovated high school, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports the Town Council recently allocated $7.5 million for a new police department building and unanimously approved applying for state grant funding and appropriating up to $62 million for a high school.
The town plans on funding the police department project through bonding and officials said bonding will also help fund the high school project, along with state grant money, according to the Register. The town is still weighing whether to renovate the existing high school building or build a new one.
