EAST HAVEN/BRANFORD/NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Hundreds of food establishments have been inspected by the East Shore Health Department and the good news in East Haven, Branford and North Branford is that no one failed the most recent inspections.
There are a few eateries that are in need of re-inspection, according to a detailed report by the Health Department.

Several places scored a perfect 100 while most were above 90 and some were in the 80s.
"The health district inspects and licenses over 400 food establishments, many of which are inspected multiple times per year. The main purpose of our inspection program is to ensure food safety and to prevent the occurrence of food borne illness in our communities. Special attention is given to safe food practices, prevention of food contamination and food temperature control," the Health Department said on its website.
