North Branford Near the Top of Initial Girls Soccer Poll
The Thunderbirds opened the new season with two wins and a tie.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Coming off a Class M girls soccer state championship last season, the Granby Bears are out to repeat that success by posting shutout victories in their first three games this season.
Granby received four of six first-place votes from coaches as the top team in Classes M/S. Notre Dame-Fairfield, which placed second, and Northwest Catholic each received a first-place vote.
North Branford placed third in the first week of balloting.

Defending Class LL champion Ridgefield High School was the leading votegetter among Classes LL and L teams.
