North Branford Police Begin 'Intensive Motor Vehicle Enforcement'
Already this year the town has had more than 130 car accidents resulting in two fatalities and numerous injuries, according to police.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Police said they will be conducting "intensive motor vehicle enforcement throughout the town for an extended period of time," according to a Facebook post.
Already this year the town has had more than 130 car accidents resulting in two fatalities and numerous injuries.
"This enforcement has already taking place in both sections of town. Please obey the traffic laws to avoid being stopped by our officers," the Facebook post reads. "Warmer weather is upon us as well as the lifting of COVID restrictions. We have observed increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic throughout our roadways. Please respect your neighbors, friends and relatives by coming together as a community and obeying the Connecticut State traffic laws. Our goal is traffic safety for all, as a community we have endured enough during this pandemic. Let's all have a safe and healthy 2021. Please slow down so we do not have to stop you."
