Efforts To Reduce Accidents Paying Off: North Branford Police
The police chief said it is a coordinated effort to focus officers on what he called "hot spots" in town where crashes are most frequent.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT - One of the police department’s big initiatives is to reduce auto accidents in North Branford.
It’s working.
At the most recent Board of Police Commission meeting, Chief Kevin Halloran reported that crashes are down 16.5 percent from last year at the same time.

Part of the reason, Halloran stated is that citations are up 91 percent from the same period last year.
