North Branford's Kade McCartin Chooses His New Hockey Team
The defenseman played for the Norwalk-based Connecticut Oilers of the Eastern Hockey League's Premier Division.
NORWALK, CT - Kade McCartin, of North Branford, has committed to attend Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH, in the fall to play for the Ravens, his former team the Norwalk-based Connecticut Oilers announced.
This past season was McCartin’s first with the CT Oilers of the Eastern Hockey League's Premier Division, and his second in the league.
"Kade was a tough, hold-down defender with +15 plus/minus this season," said the CT Oilers in a statement. "We wish him the best of luck next season with the Ravens. Congratulations to Kade and his family!"

The Connecticut Oilers® play out of the SoNo Ice House® in Norwalk, and they are a "Tier 1 AAA program that travels primarily across the Northeast competing against top teams." The team's top priority is the "development of our players not only on the ice but also off the ice and advancing them to the next level."
