Report: Branford Woman Killed In Forest Road Single-Car Accident

BRANFORD, CT — North Branford Police shared its sorrow at the death of Branford resident Laura Carolla, who did not survive a car crash on Forest Road Tuesday, it was reported.

"With deep sadness," police wrote on Facebook, when announcing the death. "Our heartfelt sorrow goes out to the victim's loved ones."

The single-car crash just before 3 p.m. near 217 Forest Road Tuesday led to a road closure. Initially, Carolla was treated at the scene but was then transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where she died.

Now police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident contact police at 203-484-2703.

North Branford Police Deputy Chief James Lovelace identified Carolla in a release to media.
