This Week's North Branford Forecast: Sunny With A Chance of HOT

Say goodbye to the fog (for the most part) and the overcast skies, and say hello to sunny and hot! At least that's what the National Weather Service is predicting for this week for North Branford.

North Branford's cooling centers are open at  North Branford Town Hall (M-F 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.); Community Center (M-Thurs 5:30 a.m.- 8 p.m., Fri 5:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sat/Sun 6:30 a.m. - noon);  Atwater Library and Smith Library (M-Th 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., F 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.,  Sat 9 a.m.- noon).

Here's the forecast for North Branford for the week:

• Monday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 92. West wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 91. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.
• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 91.
• Friday" Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
