The shops at Yale and Van Wilgen’s Garden Center of North Branford will introduce a Fall Harvest Stand on Market Island each Sunday in October –October 6, 13, 20, 27 – from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In an effort to provide the New Haven community with locally grown autumn plants, The shops at Yale welcomes Van Wilgen’s Garden Center to downtown New Haven.
Van Wilgen’s Garden Center will offer residents and visitors the opportunity to kick-off autumn with pumpkins, locally grown mums, kale, cabbage, ornamental grasses, and more!
Van Wilgen’s Garden Center has grown plants, trees, and shrubs for nearly 100 years in New Haven County. The local business grows more than 6,000 mums in Connecticut --- ensuring the cold climate of the Northeast will not harm the plants.
