Winter Team State Championship History: North Branford
Thunderbird teams have won eight state championships in winters past.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — As practices for Connecticut high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of all four CIAC winter team titles won by North Branford High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team).
